Lit Love is a monthly subscription box for people who love to read! We were the first box in Canada to offer book choices to our customers. We offer choices across several genres AND if you don't want to choose, you can select our surprise book option!

Along with your book, we send out snacks, bath & body products, home essentials and other bookish goodies! Check out our past boxes to see what type of items to expect. Curious about book options? Head over to the book picks page!

We aim to ship our boxes between the 15-20th of every month. Sometimes we ship earlier than this range and sometimes later, it just depends when all our items / books arrive, if there are any delays, damaged goods, etc. To stay on top of shipping delays, please check out our pinned post on Instagram which has LIVE updates on shipping.

WHICH BOX AM I GETTING?
Pay attention to the description in the product when you purchase to know which box you are ordering. Here is an example of a general guideline. We will announce our June book picks on May 12th, so if you order between May 12th to June 12th, you will be receiving the JUNE BOX (which ships June 15-20). If you order from June 12th to July 12th, you are receiving the JULY BOX (which ships July 15-20) and so on.

It's complicated because we do offer the flexibility of book choices but we have to know how many books to order well in advance sto make sure stock is available and they will ship to us in time.

TRACKING:
There is an automatic email when your box is shipped with a tracking number but sometimes these emails don't make it to you - so as a rule of thumb it's always best to check your order status in your account to be sure.

ACTIVE SUBSCRIPTIONS - after your initial order, your subscription will always renew and be billed on the 1st of every month.

GIFT BOXES - if you order a mystery box, birthday box or bath & body box, these boxes ship within a few business days.

SPECIAL EDITION BOXES - these boxes generally ship on the publish date of the book included and are typically pre-orders that are for sale several months before the shipping date. Please check the product description for details.

MORE IMPORTANT DETAILS:

• We only ship to the USA and Canada currently and we are located in Vancouver, BC.
• Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and British Columbia take anywhere from 2-4 days for delivery. Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec and the USA can range from 6-9 days.
• Please see this guide to check the status of your order and view your tracking numbers.

We currently only offer a monthly subscription plan or a single box.

MONTHLY - With this option you will pay monthly and receive a box monthly. This subscription renews every month and you can cancel any time.

PREPAID GIFT SUBSCRIPTIONS - Our gift subscriptions are 3, 6 or 12 month terms. These are paid UPFRONT and are automatically cancelled after the term is up. Gift Subscriptions do NOT have book choices but instead we choose one of our picks each month for you. This option is fun because you will receive a surprise book each month!

TRIAL BOX - All our subscriptions offer a SINGLE BOX option if you are just wanting to try a box without commitment. NOTE: These boxes ship out at the same time as our regular subscriptions (15th-20th).

If you are looking for a box that ships immediately but still gives you an idea of the goodies we include, you could try the Mystery Box or Bath & Body Box.

We announce book choices via social media on the 12th of every month (eg. on January 12th we announce February book choices). You can always find the current selections on the book choices page as well.

Subscribers: Please make sure your choice is locked in by the 18th every month.

WHY? We need to have a solid number for purchasing books and items early to ensure stock is available and everything arrives to us in time for our shipping date.

Please note: gift subscriptions do not get to choose books. You selected a genre with your order and we choose the book from our picks in that genre every month.

Please note: You will need to have an account to perform these actions. You can follow the steps in this guide and in steps 3 and 4, you should see links to cancel somewhere on those pages.

Monthly Subscriptions: you can cancel your subscription anytime you want from your subscription dashboard.

Not ready to commit? You can purchase a single box or a mystery box whenever you are feeling like you deserve a treat!

For subscriptions, first make sure you register an account with the email you used to purchase.

Once that is done, go to your account. Click on the MANAGE SUBSCRIPTIONS button in the left column. Then browse to the subscription that is in question and click on the SEE MORE DETAILS button.

Scroll down and in the right hand column you should be PAYMENT DETAILS AND PRODUCT SHIPPING and you can click on EDIT to update the information.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW: changing your address in your account does NOT reflect on orders already placed, if you have an existing order please contact us directly to change it.

You should receive a shipping email with tracking when your box has been shipped. However, sometimes our automated system fails us and they get lost in translation.

BUT the good news is that you can visit this page and discover where to find this info from your account.

Great question! You are charged immediately for your first box.

Our renewal / billing date is on the 1st of every month.

If you have followed the instructions in the "How to Choose My Book" article, you will have access to your Subscription Dashboard and be able to view your next billing / order date clearly in your account.

From your account you can: cancel your subscription, choose your book, add extra books and update your information.

Note: adding extra books is only for subscribers and can only be added after your initial order.

Considering the logistics involved in our business, we do not offer refunds / order cancellations for any reason.

However, we are likely open to working with you to issue a store credit, change the delivery date, swap an item, etc.
